Malaysian MotoGP tickets selling like hot cakes
PETALING JAYA: With less than three weeks to go, tickets for the Shell Advance Malaysian MotoGP at the Sepang International Circuit are selling like hot cakes.
The organisers said that 43% of the tickets have been sold thus far and would expect the number to significantly increase in the coming week before the race from Oct 21-23.
"We are well on our way towards the target of 110,000 spectators for the three-day event and surpassing last year's record breaking figure of 105,000," said Sepang International Circuit chief executive officer Datuk Razlan Razali.
A carnival atmosphere is assured at this year's MotoGP as all vending booths have been sold out as well as hospitality packages.
Fans can easily get their tickets without leaving the comfort of their home by buying online through SIC's Facebook page.
Facebook fans will be given the opportunity to win exclusive money-cannot-buy offers and be rewarded with an exclusive guided pit tour.
Fans who get their friends to buy through Facebook stand a chance of winning a go-kart session with MotoGP riders.
Tickets are still available for two days (Saturday and Sunday) for the Main Grandstand going for RM120, while K1 Grandstand and F Grandstand for two days can be purchased for RM70 and RM50 respectively.
Grandstand ticket holders are also entitled to a free pit lane walk during Friday's practice sessions.
